Dear Kurt Schake from Veterans Transition Center of Monterey County,
Congratulations, again, on being selected as a California Nonprofit of the Year by Assemblymember Mark Stone! We want to be sure you have all the information you need to get and make the most out of this honor. Furthermore, we need a little information from you to help us with recognizing you.
I also want to let you know why we think this second annual California Nonprofits Day is so important. As you know, California’s nonprofit sector generates 15 percent of our gross buy accutane before and after domestic product, employs nearly one in sixteen California workers, mobilizes seven million volunteers, and brings $40 billion out-of-state dollars into California each year. And that’s even before we start talking how much we do for families and communities. But too often nonprofits are “hidden in plain sight.” We initiated California Nonprofits Day as a way not only to honor and spotlight individual nonprofits like yours, but to raise the profile of the whole nonprofit community to legislators.
It’s important for you and us to work together to achieve these goals.
