How To Get Involved
Physical Donations
NOTE: For all donations, please call ahead to schedule a drop off time with Marlene at 831-883-8387 x238 or mbaker@vtcmonterey.org. When possible, please try to send a picture(s) of your items.
We need:
- Non perishable food items
- New Personal Hygiene Products (Toothbrushes, combs, brushes, etc.)
- Winter clothing (jackets, sweaters, knit caps, thermal underwear, socks)
- Clothing (Clean, serviceable men’s, women’s, and children’s)
- Linens for smaller beds-twins, doubles (bed linen, towels, pillows etc.)
- Pillows
- Blankets
- Sleeping Bags
- Furniture (Lamps, Night stands, Coffee Tables, Small dining tables with chairs, Stand up dressers, small bed frames – please no mattresses unless new/unwrapped)
- Small Kitchen Appliances (toasters, hand-mixers, blenders, coffee makers, microwaves, toaster ovens, juicers, crock pots, electric skillets, woks)
- Cleaning supplies (dish soap, sponges/bottle brushes, SOS pads, handi-wipes, disinfectant, paper towels, dish rack for sink, toilet paper, light bulbs, energy-efficient laundry detergent, mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners)
Thank you, but we do NOT need:
- Queen and larger beds/bedding
- Mattresses (unless new-not previously used, and wrapped)
- Large sofas – 6’+
- Knick-knacks and shelf decor
- Office supplies
- File cabinets
- Newspapers, books, magazines
- Appliances or electronics that do not work or are missing cables/remotes, etc.

Please consider a financial donation. Your contribution goes directly to the Veterans in our Coming Home Program and is tax deductible.
